The Meditative Art of Drawing, Journaling
and Walking in the Labyrinth
Come experience the inward journey and sanctuary of the labyrinth walk in a full day workshop. We'll explore the labyrinth through body, mind and spirit by drawing (on paper, in journals), making a labyrinth in the grass, group walks, solo walks. The labyrinth is a wonderful tool to process life's journey, personal questions, prayers, intentions and the sense of quiet that comes from walking the meandering path to center. There will be time for written reflection and art journaling, and for those who wish, vocal sharing in our closing circle of the messages and prompts that bubbled up from within.
The morning starts out with learning to draw a couple of labyrinth designs, then we'll take the designing outdoors to make a large temporary labyrinth to walk, looking over the town of Bellows Falls before returning the retreat center to draw, write/ journal and reflect in the afternoon! We hope your day's encounter with this peaceful, quieting tool will serve as yet another method you can use in the future for connecting your inner voice, inspiration, intuition and as prompts for future art journaling and/or writing.
